Our story began with a little book that packed a punch with its witty title, Workplace Recipes:.... The book sprinkled encouragement and resources to navigate a career and the office cubicle. The level of job satisfaction had been reported by Gallop polls that 15% of millions felt disengaged in 2000, while Forbes indicated 85% of people felt frustration verses fulfillment at work in 2013. This suggests that at a time when most spend many hours working, not much has changed. People want interesting jobs they like, at places they love with people they can do more than tolerate. Companies want productive employees who will positively represent and impact their companies. We set out to make work and working better.
Who are we?
For over 10 years, our mission has been to offer the best career and professional development web-based, self-study, and consultant-led support tools to improve work relationships and careers. Simply put...we offer training for your career, your staff and your business...Yes, even the small ones. Everyone could use training. We recognize the foundation of a business relies upon good talented people, products, and great training.
The roles of career services and learning professionals have transformed over the past 30 years. The nature of our work is diverse encompassing one-on-one consulting, facilitating training, to assisting businesses with designing professional development programs. For that reason, the network of consultants have varied educational and work experiences which may connect them to membership clubs, agencies, and professional associations.
Our consultants have held professional memberships to a number of associations like, the National Career Development Association, the International Association of Professional Career Coaches, the Society of Human Resource Management, and approved by the Texas Workforce Commission/Department of Assistive Rehabilitative Services (TWC/DARS). Some of the clients we served vary and include Lee College, Greater Houston Society for Medical Staff Services, Elex Children's Haven, LAMIK Beauty, Belhaven University, LeTourneau University, The Art Institutes, and Dallas College, and more.
